The aims of the local trust were to:

  • Prioritise making a difference that the community needs.
  • Increase peoples skill sets and confidence.
  • Identify local needs and take action in response to them.
  • Make people feel that their area is an even better place to live.

At the beginning – What did residents want?

A working group carried out  extensive consultations with residents as to how to best spend the million, before the first board was formed in 2014.
